Keeping Your Guests Cool When They’re In Party Mode

Keeping Your Guests Cool When They’re In Party Mode

We all know how unpredictable the British weather is and in recent weeks we have experienced two very hot heatwaves… which we are not complaining about as they are perfect for delicious hog roasts in Darlington and across the North East! But when you are looking to get out, explore and party the heat can turn you off as it’s no fun being too hot that you can’t cope. In this blog, we have highlighted out tips for keeping your guests cool when you are partying during the summer months, or a heatwave.

Night-time Events

The simplest and easiest way of keeping your guests cool is partying into the night, when you are not in direct sunlight. Outdoor areas also provide you with shelter and space to keep out of the sun if you are outside before it has set. Plus, partying while the sun is setting will create a lovely atmosphere and give your guests something extra to watch. Ps… also think about the pictures you could have taken!

Keep away from flames

If you are our for a good time, its’ important to keep your guests away from any fires, flames and the kitchen as this is where they are likely to overheat. Unfortunately, if you are opting for hot food at your event, it’s always going to make a hot day even hotter so you may need to consider a cold option to help both you and your guests cool throughout the day and night.

Stay in the shade & keep hydrated

If you have the space to put up parasols or an outdoor living area with a canopy this will help to keep the direct sunlight of your guests and the food… and the food is very important! Have jugs or bottles of water available for your guests to help themselves too as hydration is key any day but especially in the heat.
